LOYD (Berks, Abingdon)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the Colonial Office have any information as to the extent to which the Boer population of the South African Republic have joined in the mining enterprise in that State; and whether any of the Boers have made fortunes in mining, and have been sending their sons to obtain at schools or colleges in Cape Colony a wider range of education than is obtainable in the Transvaal?
