W.)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he has received a Report from the Commissioner appointed to inquire into the circumstances under which a prisoner in Strangeways Gaol, named Cox, was so injured that on his arrival at Prestwich Asylum, whither he was removed as insane, it was found that eight of his ribs had been broken; and will he lay this Report upon the Table?

I am not sure that the matter is of sufficient importance to justify my laying the Report on the table of the House, but I shall be happy to show it to the hon. Member if he wishes to see it.
