§ 2. "That a Supplementary sum, not exceeding £85,000, be granted to Her Majesty, to defray the Charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1898, for Grants in Aid of Expenses of the British Protectorates in Uganda and in Central and East Africa, and under the Uganda Railway Act, 1896."
§ 3. "That a sum, not exceeding £1,533, be granted to Her Majesty, to defray the Charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1898, to make good the net loss on transactions connected with the raising of money for the various Treasury Chests abroad in the year 1896–97."
