§ THE FIRST COMMISSIONER OF WORKS (Mr. AKERS DOUGLAS,) Kent, St. Augustine'sI have not yet been able to acquire the whole of the property between Parliament Street and King Street, but I hope to be able to do so within the next three months. Directly this property has been obtained, the buildings will be taken down and the street widened. A plan showing approximately the proposed frontage line of the new 640 buildings next Parliament Street and Great George Street shall be prepared and exhibited as the right honourable Gentleman desires.
