OURZON, Lancs,) SouthportThe date when the new tariffs will come into force in Japan is dependent upon the ratification of the Treaty with Austria-Hungary, the last of the new series of Treaties negotiated by Japan with the Powers. When this has taken place the Japanese Government have undertaken to allow a further period before the new tariff comes into force, and a public announcement in this sense will be made. There are no Papers which it would be of any advantage to lay.
