§ COLONEL DENNY (Kilmarnock Burghs)I beg to ask the Lord Advocate whether it is his intention to recommend to the Treasury an increase of salaries to Scotch sheriff-substitutes, in view of 1234 the discrepancy between their salaries and those paid for like work in England, and the fact that their duties have been largely increased, and are going to be still further added to when the Workmen's Compensation Act comes into operation?
