PIRIEI beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War whether the difficulty connected with the acquisition of land for the Clyde defence works, a scheme for which has been considered and approved of for over 10 years, is any nearer solution; what is the precise nature of the difficulties in securing a suitable position; and who is responsible for these difficulties?
