HC Deb 22 June 1898 vol 59 c1160

Order for Second Reading read.

MR. TUTE

I object.

CAPTAIN SINCLAIR

Sir, this Bill gives power with regard to the carriage of game during the close time, when game is not allowed to be killed. The principle on which the Bill has been drafted has been approved by the Post Office, who are the only Department concerned, and it is backed by Members on all sides of the House. The supporters of the Bill would be perfectly ready to accept any Amendment which the honourable Member may move on the Bill in Committee stage.

Bill read a second time and committed.
