§ SIR H. MAXWELLI beg to ask the Lord Advocate whether there is any intention of carrying into legislative effect the recommendations of the Royal Commission, on Tweed and Solway Salmon Fishings, contained in their Report presented in 1896?
MR. GRAHAM MURRAYThe recommendations of the Royal Commission on the Tweed and Solway Salmon Fisheries have not been lost sight of, but neither the Board of Trade nor the Scottish Office are prepared at present to promise any Bill for remedying the defects pointed out.
