HC Deb 12 July 1898 vol 61 c669
COLONEL MCCALMONT (Antrim, E.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland what body will have the future control of the Carrickfergus Harbour Junction Railway Company, now the property of the grand jury of the county of the town of Carrickfergus; and will it be handed over in March next to the urban or the rural district council, or a joint committee of each?

MR. GERALD BALFOUR

If the rail way is the property of the grand jury of the county of the town, it would appear that under clause 34 of the Bill, as amended in Committee, it would pass to the county council of the county of Antrim.
