HC Deb 12 July 1898 vol 61 c662
MR. GILHOOLY (Cork Co., W.)

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether it is true that no ship of war has replaced the Collingwood in Bantry Bay; and whether it is intended that the Devastation or some other such vessel will be sent to remain permanently there?

MR. AUSTEN CHAMBERLAIN

The answer to the first paragraph of the Question is in the affirmative. After the cruise of the Reserve Fleet, the Collingwood will return to Bantry as usual.

MR. GILHOOLY

I hope it will remain permanently there.
