HC Deb 07 July 1898 vol 61 c169
MR. PATRICK O'BRIEN

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, as representing the Postmaster General, if he is aware that the postmen at Dromore, county Down, post office are usually compelled to wait three months for the bank holiday pay; and what is the reason for the delay?

MR. HANBURY

It is feared that there has been some unnecessary delay in paying the postmen at Dromore, county Down, for bank holiday work. Inquiry is being made as to the cause of this, and steps will be taken to prevent any similar delay in future.
