§ SIR W. WEDDERBURN (Banffshire)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for India whether he is aware that the movable property of the brothers Natu has not yet been all restored to them; whether he will cause it now to be restored without further delay; and whether he will grant them compensation on account of the illegal detention of their property for so many months?
§ THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR INDIAI have no information regarding the details to which the first Question refers, but if any part of the property has been illegally attached it must neces- 165 sarily be restored; and I am confident that quite apart from any legal remedies open to the Natu brothers, the Government of Bombay will give full and prompt consideration to any representations made to them on the subject.
