TULLY (Leitrim, S.)I beg to ask the Attorney, General for Ireland whether, in the case of sanitary expenses on contributory areas in rural districts, one-half of the rate for which is at present paid by the landlord, he can state if clause 45, sub-section 2, of the Local Government (Ireland) Bill will alter the liability of the landlord in these cases to pay the sanitary rate now levied with the poor rate?
§ MR. ATKINSONIf the honourable Member will refer to sub-clause 8 of clause 90, he will see that the ultimate liability to these charges of the landlord and tenant respectively is not altered by the Bill.
