KIMBERI beg to ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in remitting the loan of £798,802 made by Great Britain to the Egyptian Government and people, it will be an understanding or condition that the railways which have been constructed by the aid of the money will become or remain the property of Great Britain; or whether any other and what consideration will be obtained for this country for the sacrifice?

HICKS-BEACH,) Bristol, W.The fact that this loan included the sum of £270,000, which was advanced for the purchase of material for the railway between Wady Haifa and Abu Hamed, will not be overlooked in the settlement of accounts after the capture of Khartoum. The railways in question cost the Egyptian Government far more than that sum.
