FARRELL (Cavan, W.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether any steps have been taken to acquire the former county prison at Cavan for industrial works; whether there is any obstacle in the way of such acquisition; and will there be any powers given under the Local Government Bill to enable local councils to borrow money at cheap rates of interest for such purposes?
