HC Deb 15 February 1898 vol 53 c626
MR. CARVELL WILLIAMS (Notts, Mansfield)

I beg to ask the Vice-President of the Committee of Council on Education, whether it is the fact that the Education Department intends in future to make grants to new voluntary schools without regard to the amount of school accommodation which is supplied by school boards or existing voluntary schools.

SIR JOHN GORST (Cambridge University)

No, Sir, in all cases the amount of the existing accommodation provided is taken into consideration.
