HC Deb 14 February 1898 vol 53 c494
MR. JOHN ROCHE (Galway, East)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he will state the number of police stationed at present in the parish of Woodford, which comprises the electoral divisions of Woodford, Loughatroick, Coose, Drummin, and Abbyville, as compared with the number stationed there in 1885; and whether the district is as peaceful now as it was in 1885?

MR. GERALD BALFOUR

I have called for a report on the statements contained in the first part of the Question, but not having yet received it I must ask the hon. Member to defer the Question until to-morrow.
