FARRELL (Cavan, West)I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether the request of the inhabitants of Crossdoney, county Cavan, to have a mid-day mail service viâ the Midland Railway system given to them has been granted, and, if not, can he state why such a request has been refused?
§ MR. HANBURYNO information on this subject has been received from the inhabitants of Crossdoney. The letters for Crossdoney which could be included in a mid-day service are few in number, and would not justify the expense involved. The existing service is already carried on at a loss to the revenue.
