M'HUGH (Armagh, S.)I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that, on the 30th ultimo a fire broke out in a clothes store of the Downpatrick Military Barrack, and that the flames were not extinguished till a large amount of property was destroyed; has it been ascertained how the fire originated; and is there any ground for the belief which seems to prevail that the store was maliciously set on fire?
§ MR. BRODRICKThe fire was extinguished in 15 minutes after being discovered, and the damage is estimated at £25. A court of inquiry is investigating the cause of the fire.
