HC Deb 02 August 1898 vol 63 c858
CAPTAIN GRICE HUTCHINSON (Aston Manor)

I beg to ask the First Commissioner of Works whether, when the plans for the erection of the museum buildings at South Kensington are approved, due care will be taken to preserve the trees and the open space at the corner of Exhibition Road?

THE FIRST COMMISSIONER OF WORKS

I am afraid that whatever plans are adopted for buildings at South Kensington, this open space will have to be built upon and the trees removed.
