HC Deb 02 August 1898 vol 63 c848
MR. PATRICK O'BRIEN

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, as representing the Postmaster General, whether he is yet in a position to state the decision of the Postmaster General on the question of bond giving by employees of the Post Office?

MR. HANBURY

It is intended to discontinue the practice of requiring pensionable officers of the Post Office to give bond to the Crown, and instructions on the subject will soon be issued; but no alteration is contemplated in regard to bonds given by non-pensionable officers.
