MR. PATRICK O'BRIENI beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, as representing the Postmaster General, whether he is yet in a position to state the decision of the Postmaster General on the question of bond giving by employees of the Post Office?
§ MR. HANBURYIt is intended to discontinue the practice of requiring pensionable officers of the Post Office to give bond to the Crown, and instructions on the subject will soon be issued; but no alteration is contemplated in regard to bonds given by non-pensionable officers.
