§ SIR JOHN LENG (Dundee)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will appoint Medical Referees in Scotland, as well as in England, under the Workmen's Compensation Act of last Session; and, if so, whether any special regulations will be made with regard to their qualifications and duties?
§ THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE HOME DEPARTMENTI propose to appoint medical referees in Scotland, and the regulations will be the same as in England, with such variations in details as may be made necessary by the differences between County Courts in England and Sheriff Courts in Scotland. On this latter point I am in communication with the Scottish Office.
