I beg to ask the Lord Advocate whether any, and, if so, what steps have been taken to complete the breakwater, or harbour works at Port Ness, Island of Lewis?

As regards the breakwater at Port Ness, I understand that the works are progressing satisfactorily. The harbour works are, unfortunately, the subject of litigation between the trustees and the contractor, and cannot be proceeded with until the litigation is concluded.
