MR. J. BIGWOOD (Middlesex, Brentford)

moved— That the Older of 21st February for committing the Middlesex County Council Bill be read and discharged. That the Bill be committed to a Select Committee of nine Members, five to be nominated by the House, and four by the Committee of Selection; that, subject to the Rules, Orders, and Proceedings of this House, all Petitions against the said Bill be referred to the Committee; and such of the Petitioners as pray to be heard by themselves, their counsel, agents, or witnesses, be heard on their Petitions against the Bill, if they think fit, and counsel heard in support of the said Bill against such Petitions; that the Committee have power to send for persons, papers, and records; that live be the quorum.
