HC Deb 05 April 1898 vol 56 c216
MR. SAMUEL SMITH (Flintshire)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether the licence for the practice of vivisection of the British Institute of Preventive Medicine will be transferred to the new building on the Embankment, contrary to the wish of the people of London, as shown by the petition to this House signed by 183,700 persons.

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE HOME DEPARTMENT

Yes; after a full consideration of every aspect of the question, I have not thought it possible to refuse to transfer the registration of the Institute to their new and more suitable premises in Grosvenor Road.
