§ THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR INDIA (Lord GEORGE HAMILTON,) Middlesex, EalingThe Chitral medal has been struck and has for some time past been in course of distribution in India. The cause of the delay in its issue was, as I explained in this House on the 2nd of February last, the decision to strike a new medal, instead of adding a clasp to the existing frontier medal which involved the selection and execution of a new design.
