HC Deb 14 May 1897 vol 49 c494
MR. T. M. HEALY

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutedant of Ireland if any decision has been come to with regard to the grant for the Lough Mask and Ballinrobe Canal?

THE CHIEF SECRETARY FOR IRELAND (Mr. GERALD BALFOUR,) Leeds, Central

No decision has yet been arrived at in this matter, which will be brought before the Congested Districts Board at its next meeting. I ought, perhaps, to add that the fuller reports received since the last Question of the hon. and learned Member on the 5th April are not altogether favourable to the project.
