§ SIR ALBERT ROLLIT: (Islington, S.)I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether he can conveniently so arrange that the Revenue Departments Estimates may be taken at an early date, in order to afford an opportunity of discussing the Report, of the Committee on Post Office Establishments?
§ THE FIRST LORD OF THE TREASURYI fully recognise the importance of the Vote to which the hon. Gentleman calls attention, and I will take care that when it conies on the Committee shall have a. full opportunity of discussing it, but I cannot promise that it will be taken either next Friday or Friday week.
§ MR. J. P. FARRELLsaid that before the right hon. Gentleman answered that Question he should like to ask him—whether in the event of the Irish Estimates not being concluded on Friday next the discussion would be continued on the following Friday?
§ THE FIRST LORD OF THE TREASURYI will not venture to answer these Questions now, because I might give a pledge which might prove to be inconvenient to hon. Members generally. There is no difference between the House and the Government in reference to matters of this kind. Our sole desire is to meet the wishes of hon. Members. I shall communicate with the usual channels of these negotiations with a view to meet the views of hon. Members opposite and in other parts of the House.
