HC Deb 11 May 1897 vol 49 c196
SIR WALTER FOSTER (Derby, Ilkeston)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that the Aldershot Camp Sewage Farm, although much improved in its general condition, is still unsatisfactory as regards the character of the effluent; and whether it is the intention of the authorities to expend the extra money necessary to render the present farm successful, or whether it is intended to remove the operations to another site at a greater distance from the camp?

MR. BRODRICK

This subject, which is a very difficult one, and has been discussed with reference to the treatment of the sewage of the town as well as of the camp, is still under consideration, and there are some points which are not yet cleared up; but the Secretary of State hopes to arrive at a decision very shortly.
