§ This Act shall, from and after the twenty-ninth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven, be construed as part of section ninety-seven of the Elementary Education Act 1870, and shall not extend to Scotland or Ireland, and may be cited as the Elementary Education Act 1897.
