HEDDERWICKI beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether the public works established on the West Coast of Scotland in 1891 were the public works to which he referred in his programme, published in East Manchester in 1895; and, if not, whether he can state the nature of the works to which he then made a promissory reference?
§ THE FIRST LORD OF THE TREASURYWhenever I have referred to public works in the Highlands, those works have been intended to facilitate and improve communication between the Western Highlands and other parts of the country.
