MACALEESE (Monaghan, N.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland if he can state why so much delay has taken place in the giving of decisions in land cases heard fully six weeks ago by Sub-Commissioners at Omagh, and why no visits have been made to the farms which were the subject of investigation at the Omagh sittings referred to; and, can he state when the farms will be visited and the decisions made to the farmers concerned?
§ MR. GERALD BALFOURThere has been no unnecessary delay in anouncing the decisions in the cases referred to, nor is it correct to say that no visits have been made to the holdings, sixty of which have been inspected by the Assistant Commissioners. The decisions will be announced in the present week.
