§ MR. PATRICK M'HUGHI beg to ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he can now state whether a Bill dealing with Local Loans Stock will be introduced this Session by Her Majesty's Government?
THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER (Sir MICHAEL, HICKS BEACH,) Bristol, W.I am not able to make any statement, on the subject, and I am not very hopeful of being able to introduce a Bill. It would be useless to do so unless there was a reasonable chance of proceeding with it.
