KILBRIDE (Galway, N.)I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board whether a Bill dealing with the adulteration of food will be introduced this Session by the Government; and, if so, when; and, whether the Bill will embody the recommendations of the Committee which considered the question of food adulteration, or whether it will deal with an Amendment to the Food and Drugs Act as distinct from the Margarine Act?
§ MR. CHAPLINI am afraid that the only answer I can give to the Question of the hon. Member is this, that the introduction of a Bill dealing with the question of the adulteration of food must depend on the progress of public business. The object and provisions of the Bill will be explained when it is introduced, and I could not enter into any details of the contemplated Measure now, but I may say this—we propose to deal with the matter as a whole.
