§ THE FIRST LORD OF THE TREASURYI received my hon. Friend's notice of this Question only after I came into the House, and, of course, I am not prepared to give him an answer upon the very tragic state of circumstances which his Question reveals to the House. If he will put a Question to the President of the Board of Agriculture either tomorrow or on Thursday, the matter will before then have come under the consideration of the Government.
