§ MR. J. CALDWELL (Lanark, Mid)said he foresaw that complications might arise in regard to this Bill. He quite agreed that there was a difference in defining "criminal," but he was sorry the Lord Advocate had not accepted the Amendment he had previously moved, dealing with this point. There was another point as to the jurisdiction conferred on the sheriffs in regard to the warrants. He did not propose, however, to oppose the Third Reading.
