Friend gave notice of a Motion for a return as to the amount expended by the London County Council on water inquiries and negotiations, and, in reply to a Question on the 30th March last, I stated that there would be no objection on my part to the proposed Motion; I do not, however, find that the return was ordered by the House, or that it was moved for by the hon. Member, and it was consequently not called for.
