§ MR. H. KIMBER (Wandsworth)I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether his attention has been directed to the fact that, according to the last Return of Parliamentary constituencies, the disparities between the electorates of the kingdom have greatly increased, 1241 and are increasing; and, whether the Government will, before next Session, adopt some means to have the question of re-distribution impartially and fairly examined with a view to legislation while the present Parliament is still young?
§ THE FIRST LORD OF THE TREASURY (Mr. A. J. BALFOUR, Manchester, E.)I think that the object which my hon. Friend has in view is well worthy of attention. I cannot promise that the investigation shall take place in the autumn, though I think that some investigation should take place without undue delay.
