§ MR. GERALD BALFOURThe works referred to in the first paragraph are not yet completed, but the Board of Works hope it may be possible to make provision for their completion in the Estimates for the next financial year. A sufficient supply of bed linen is now provided for each ward, and every article is changed once a fortnight. The reply to the third paragraph is in the affirmative. The Board of Works hope to provide a system of heating in connection with the improvement of the laundry, using a common boiler installation for both purposes in accordance with the best modern practice.
