§ MR. D. CRILLY (Mayo, N.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland (1) whether he is aware that the chairman and three other members of the Belmullet Board of Guardians have already resigned, and that a special meeting of the Board has been called to accept the resignation of the remaining members; and (2) whether the Local Government Board of Ireland are taking any steps to discharge the duties of the Belmullet Board of Guardians?
§ MR. GERALD BALFOURI am aware of the facts stated in the first paragraph. A sealed order was issued by the Local Government Board yesterday dissolving the Behmullet Board of Guardians, and the management of the Union will at once be placed in the hands of paid Vice Guardians.
