§ THE FIRST LORD OF THE TREASURYAs the House is aware, a Committee was appointed to consider the question dealt with by the hon. Gentleman in the interrogatory which he has addressed to me. That Committee has reported almost unanimously in favour of the purchase of Hertford House for the retention of the Wallace collection at Hertford House. The report of the Committee will be laid before Parliament very shortly. The Government propose to follow the advice given by the Committee. ["Hear, hear!"]
