HORACE PLUNKETT (Dublin Co., S.)I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury (1) whether an application has been received from the Session of the Baronies guaranteeing the Wicklow Harbour Loan for a further loan on the terms offered by the Treasury; and (2) whether the Government will at once introduce a Bill to give effect to the contract and the special conditions required by the Baronies, so as to enable the necessary works to be undertaken before the close of the summer?
§ MR HANBURYThe answer to the first Question is generally in the affirmative. As regards the second Question, a Bill dealing with the subject is in course of preparation, and will be introduced as soon as ready, if I can be assured that it will meet with no opposition in this House.
