THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER moved: — That it is expedient to authorise the payment, out of moneys to be provided by Parliament, of all sums payable by the Postmaster General under any Act of the present Session to enable Her Majesty's Postmaster General to acquire lands for the Public Service, and of all expenses incurred in carrying into effect the provisions of such Act.

MR. CALDWELL moved, "That the Chairman do report Progress, and ask leave to sit again."

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER

pointed out that no promise had been given that the Resolution would not be taken.
