MR. FIELDI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he will introduce a Bill to fix a rate from which shall be available the expenditure necessary to insure the compulsory attendance of children at school in Ireland?
§ THE ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR IRELANDYes, sir. The Government have prepared, and hope to introduce this Session, a Bill which will define the rate from which the expenses of School Attendance Committees appointed under the Irish Education Act, 1892, shall be defrayed.
