MAURICE HEALYI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he can state how many applications have been made to the Land Commission under Sections 46 and 47 respectively of the recent Land Act (relating to evicted tenants); and whether any evicted tenants have so far been re-instated under those clauses?
§ THE ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR IRELANDNo applications have been received under the 46th Section of the Land Law Act of 1896, but 369 applications under the 47th Section of the Act have been received up to December 31st last. No evicted tenants have yet been re-instated under the latter section.
