§ MR. MACALEESEI beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department the number and names of such Water Boards in the three kingdoms as are elected by the ratepayers for the sole and exclusive discharge of the office and duty of Water Trustees?
§ SIR MATTHEW WHITE RIDLEYSo far as I have been able to ascertain, there is only one such Board in the United Kingdom, namely the Belfast City and District Water Commissioners. There 1252 are several Boards for the sole and exclusive discharge of the duty mentioned, which are elected by local authorities, and I shall be happy to supply the hon. Member with a list of these if he wishes to have it.
