§ MR. MACALEESEI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland (1) has any magistrate, or have any magistrates, been relieved of the Commission of the Peace within recent years in Ireland for adjudicating outside certain prescribed areas in the counties for which they held their appointment; (2) what were the names of such magistrates and for what counties did they hold their Commissions; and (3) will he have the regulation rescinded which prevents certain magistrates from exercising jurisdiction except in prescribed areas of the counties for which they hold their Commissions?
§ MR. GERALD BALFOURNo public advantage would be gained by giving the information indicated in the first two paragraphs of this Question, and as to the third paragraph, the reply is in the negative.
