Member for Ross and Cromarty (Mr. WEIR) I beg to ask the Lord Advocate whether, having regard to the fact that the Atlantic seaboard of the Island of Lewis is not included in the North Sea Fisheries Convention, the Fishery Board for Scotland will avail themselves of the powers conferred upon them by the Sea Fisheries Regulation (Scotland) Act 1895, and forbid by bylaws the methods of fishing known as beam trawling and otter trawling in any area under the jurisdiction of Her Majesty within 13 miles of the Atlantic seaboard of the Island of Lewis?
