HC Deb 05 August 1897 vol 52 c400
MR. DOOGAN

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is now in a position to state on what conditions the Commissioners of Education have decided to sell their Fermanagh School Estates to the tenants?

MR. GERALD BALFOUR

The Commissioners have not yet decided whether they will sell these estates to the tenants. An offer has been made to the Standing Committee of the Commissioners to whom the whole matter was referred, but the question whether that offer is to be accepted or not cannot be decided until the next meeting of the Commissioners.
